We are seeking a motivated and experienced Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests, maintaining quality control procedures, and communicating effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing laboratory tests, including chemistry, blood bank, hematology, and microbiology
- Maintaining quality control procedures and ensuring accuracy in test results
- Communicating effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field
- Board eligibility by NCA or ASCP, with certification within one year of employment
- 1-3 years of experience in laboratory settings, with formal internships also considered
- Certification as MT by ASCP or CLS by NCA within one year of employment
