Position Summary:
">The Physician Assistant, Family Nurse Practitioner (PA, FNP) plays a vital role in advancing the mission of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC), working collaboratively to achieve excellent health outcomes.
">Care for acute and chronically ill adults and children, providing comprehensive treatment to patients in need. In the Level IV Trauma Center/ER, work alongside physicians to evaluate and treat moderately ill adult and pediatric patients, assist with admission holding orders, and perform procedures such as incision and drainage, suturing, and lumbar punctures, etc.
">Urgent/ER shifts occur from 12pm-12am on weekdays and 10am-10pm on weekends and holidays. As part of the team, expect to order and interpret lab and x-ray results with physician backup as required.

- Must have completed an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant training program and maintained certification. ">
- Minimum two years of experience suggested. ">
- Must have experience reading radiographs and dispensing medication. ">
- Requires Alaska License and DEA license. ">
- Current on CME requirements. ">
- Must possess computer skills to access computerized medical records. ">
- Skilled and knowledgeable in practicing medicine within their specialty area. ">
- Able to supervise and mentor NP, PA students and oversee community Health Aide clinical practice. ">
