Summary:
The Data Architect will lead the build-out of Epic Caboodle while ensuring alignment with the organization's enterprise data warehouse and broader data strategy. This role will configure Caboodle to support Epic Slicer Dicer and other analytics tools, enabling seamless integration with Epic applications and the enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data modeling, ETL development, and pipeline automation using Azure DevOps to create scalable and efficient data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Caboodle Development: Lead the build-out and optimization of the Epic Caboodle data warehouse to support organizational analytics and reporting needs. Ensure Caboodle is configured to power Epic Slicer Dicer data models with accuracy and high performance. Maintain Caboodle as a reliable and scalable data warehouse tailored to Epic's requirements and integrated with enterprise systems.

Enterprise Data Warehouse Alignment: Collaborate with the enterprise data solutions and reporting team to align Caboodle's structure and workflows with the organization's broader data architecture. Ensure seamless data integration between Caboodle and the enterprise data platform for consistent and unified reporting. Adhere to enterprise data governance standards, ensuring Caboodle configurations comply with organizational policies and best practices.

ETL Development: Design, implement, and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from the enterprise data platform and other sources into Caboodle. Automate ETL workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or equivalent tools to ensure efficient data transformation and ingestion. Optimize ETL processes to handle large-scale data loads while maintaining data quality and integrity.

Azure DevOps Configuration: Build and manage Cl/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for automating Caboodle updates, ETL processes, and configuration deployments. Automate deployment workflows across development, testing, and production environments to ensure consistency and reliability. Manages source control and versioning for database scripts, ETL processes, and other related artifacts.

Integration with Epic Applications: Leverage Caboodle's capabilities to enable seamless data integration back into Epic applications, enhancing operational workflows. Ensure data flows between Caboodle, Slicer Dicer, and Epic applications meet performance and reliability requirements.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with analytics teams to ensure Caboodle supports organizational reporting needs, including self-service analytics through Slicer Dicer. Collaborate with IT teams and application owners to align Caboodle with enterprise infrastructure and application requirements. Document architecture, ETL workflows, and Azure DevOps configurations for operational transparency and sustainability.
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in data architecture, ETL development, and data warehouse management.
- Experience with Epic applications and Caboodle is a plus.
Preferred Education:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field.
