Duties
- Provide grooming services for pets, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping.
- Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately during grooming sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming area and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and any concerns observed during grooming.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques, styles, and trends in pet care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as veterinary assistance or animal care is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of animal behavior, handling techniques, and grooming tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Experience with animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming sessions.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care and well-being.
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant, kennel worker, or in pet sitting is a plus but not required.
