Job Description:
The Yurok Tribe is seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join their team. This position will provide critical support to the Yurok Tribal Police Department, acting as a point of initial contact with the public and greeting visitors at the front desk.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for answering emergency and non-emergency calls, documenting pertinent information, and routing calls to appropriate resources.
In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will maintain and update calls for service logs, operate and manage a multi-line console system, and assist with data input and review. They will also be required to develop new forms as needed and assist with scheduling program meetings.
The Administrative Support Specialist will work closely with the Records/Office Manager to ensure that all procedures are accurate and confidential. They will also be responsible for maintaining a department calendar of absences, activities, and meetings.
