Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Tribal Housing Advocate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with landlords and rental properties to locate affordable housing units for program participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture relationships with landlords and property management companies
- Create housing opportunities for program participants
- Work with program participants and their housing case manager to understand their housing needs
- Conduct unit inspections (pre-and-post housing)
- Maintain proactive communication with landlords/property managers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field with one year job specified experience
- Two years of experience in human services, social work, real estate, marketing/sales, or related field
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and support team efforts
- Microsoft Office skills
