The Yurok Tribe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief of Police in the general supervision and function of the Yurok Department of Public Safety.
- Coordinate operations, supervise sergeants, and respond to all major incidents.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief.
Requirements:
- Must possess a high school diploma and an Intermediate California Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Certificate.
- Five years of increasingly responsible experience in law enforcement that includes supervisory experience at a level equivalent to Sergeant.
- Ability to plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the work of public safety personnel.
- Ability to select, supervise, and evaluate staff.
