Job Description
The Warehouse Equipment Specialist is responsible for the overall maintenance of the warehouse facility and equipment, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with safety protocols.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections on the building, grounds, and equipment to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Inspect and test machinery and equipment, diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs or replacements as needed.
- Install, fabricate, modify, and demolish conveyors, equipment, offices, and other structures to support warehouse operations.
- Prepare estimates for materials, labor, and time required for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MIG, Arc, and Gas Welding techniques.
- Coordinate vendor visits to support site and business operations, ensuring timely and effective service.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five years minimum experience as a maintenance technician in a related industry or three years experience with a trade school equivalent to two years experience.
