The Human Resource Manager is responsible for all human resource functions for the organization. This includes recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding staff, administering compensation, benefits, and leave programs, managing the organization’s employment policies and procedures, processing payroll and managing workplace safety initiatives and compliance.

The Human Resource Manager is responsible for all human resource functions for the organization. This includes recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding staff, administering compensation, benefits, and leave programs, managing the organization’s employment policies and procedures, processing payroll and managing workplace safety initiatives and compliance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Serves as an integral member of the leadership team in the development and execution of HR strategy for the organization.
- Provides direction and council on compensation, job descriptions, job titles, internal employee movement, and other HR policies and procedures.
- Develops recruitment and retention strategies for key roles and collaborates with department leaders to coordinate staffing activities.
- Develops and implements the organization’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion plan.
- Leads the development and execution of talent management processes, including succession planning, mentoring, and team building.
- Communicates HR policies and procedures to department leaders and provides counsel on addressing employee relations issues.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental leaders to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Develops and implements new hire orientation and onboarding process.
- Designs and implements change management initiatives in collaboration with the senior leadership team.
- Designs and implements rewards and recognition programs.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and department leaders, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least three years of human resource management experience preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to climb stairs.
