The YWCA is hiring a Specialty Fitness Instructor to teach fitness classes.
As a Specialty Fitness Instructor, you will provide the very highest quality of programming. Provide a high level of customer service for participants and ensure health and safety standards to maintain and ultimately increase class participation.
Responsibilities

Design, develop and implement program within designated discipline.

Conduct classes according to certification standards and with the highest regard for differences in abilities to ensure the safety of participants.

Create a fun and safe environment for participants that reinforces the YWCA mission.

Checking for safe and proper use of equipment before classes begin.

Teach participants at all fitness levels by providing progression and modifications to routine.

Take attendance of participants.

Instruct participants to clean equipment and surfaces before/after classes, and report repairs needed to Fitness Coordinator

Report any problems or concerns expressed by participants to supervisor ensuring effective resolution and follow-through.

Attend trainings, meetings, and perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Certification in the designated discipline and/or program as required.
- The ability to relate to people of diverse skill levels.
- Excellent personal and customer relation skills are required
- CPR certified.
