Position Overview
Under the general direction and supervision of the Child Development Site Director, the Early Childhood Community Educator will play a crucial role in ensuring maximum enrollment at the YWCA GLA child development sites for our infants, toddlers, and preschool programs.
Statement of Duties
- Enrollment Promotion: Develop ad sustain connections with local communities, schools, and organizations to encourage enrollment i our infant, toddler, and preschool programs, ensuring maximum enrollment at the assigned site.
- Family Support: Provide resources and support to families for the six child development centers, helping them navigate childcare options and access necessary services to ensure maximum enrollment.
- Data Management: Maintain pre-application information to be shared with site directors, as well as sign-in sheets, to track and support maximum enrollment.
- Collaboration: Work closely with YWCA staff to ensure program success and support maximum enrollment.
- Advocacy: Support YWCA GLA policy and advocacy efforts to promote maximum enrollment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or AA degree.
- Experience: Experience in volunteer opportunities in the community or a related field.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge: Understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices.
- Commitment: Passion for YWCA's mission and values, with a dedication to promoting equity and inclusion.
