Job Summary:
The Development, Fundraising, and Communications Manager is a key leadership role for YWCA Mankato and will lead and implement strategies to enhance fundraising, manage donor relationships, and oversee external communications for. This role includes executing fundraising campaigns, grant writing, and cultivating donor relationships, alongside driving public relations efforts and crafting compelling messaging to promote the organization’s mission. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with expertise in marketing, relationship-building, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Development
- Implement donor stewardship systems and maintain communication with donors and stakeholders.
- Track donor commitments and grant reporting using CRM software.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on donor recognition and events.
- Create YWCA’s Annual Report and maintain presence on nonprofit review platforms.
- Complete required metric surveys and track grant deadlines.
Grant Research and Writing
- Identify and research grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals.
- Develop and submit grant proposals, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines.
- Manage grant records and build relationships with potential funders.
Fundraising
- Plan and execute fundraising and special events.
- Develop annual campaigns (e.g., year-end appeals, Give to the Max Day).
- Partner with program staff to secure in-kind donations.
Marketing and Communications
- Design marketing materials (newsletters, social media, website content).
- Develop content strategies to communicate YWCA’s initiatives and advocacy.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance to optimize engagement.
- Draft content for proposals, impact reports, and other communications.
Other Duties
- Lead the Development/Fundraising Committee.
- Represent YWCA at networking events to strengthen brand presence.
- Provide timely, accurate information to stakeholders.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
