Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Maintenance worker performs all of the following:
Facility Maintenance:
- Routine daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenances of facility, including but not limited to:
- Sweep and mop floors and hallways
- Clean and dust lobby and offices
- Clean windows inside and outside of building
- Cleans and maintains supplies in the restrooms
- Empty trash cans throughout the building and Bridal Station
- Assists other departments with routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Prepare rooms for meetings, events, or rentals. Clean and return room to normal arrangement following meetings.
- Transports equipment/supplies to and from storage buildings as needed
- Keep closets and utility/storage buildings clean and free of clutter or hazardous storing
- Paint and perform simple repairs as necessary and within ability
- Changes marquees as needed to keep the information current
- Notify Facility Manager and keep track of any needed outsourced repairs
- Perform other duties as requested by staff, Executive Director, or Facility Manager
- Light grounds maintenance including but not limited to:
o Weeding, trimming tress
o Pest control
o Parking lot free of debris
o Winter months: sidewalks free of ice and salted appropriately
General Requirements
- Works in a safety-conscious manner which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to self or others in the workplace. Reports any safety violations or hazards.
- Complies with YWCA policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations
- Adheres to policy on Drug Free Workplace
- Interacts in a tactful, diplomatic, and humanistic manner with children, families, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers to provide a safe, efficient and caring environment which ensures self-respect, personal dignity, rights and physical safety of each person.
- Maintains a dependable attendance record and adheres to standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene, and dress code

Physical Demands
- Walking, standing, talking and hearing.
- Ability to sustain long hours of active work for 8 hours or more.

- Ability to remain alert and energetic for 8 hours or more
- Ability to lift 40 pounds

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Facility and Office Manager or Executive Director
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Dependable and honest
- Able to work harmoniously with others
- Able to take directions and work independently to complete tasks
- Physically capable of moving, pushing, carrying, and performing duties of the position
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
