What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance technician position at YWCA of Binghamton?
To maintain and operate the physical plant at both Hawley St. and Conklin Ave. Assist in the repair and upkeep of operating systems, plumbing, electrical, sheetrock, and help to maintain clean professional appearance of the building Responsibilities : 1.
Assist in repairing and maintaining building plumbing to include pipes, toilets, showers, laundry, replacement valves and bathtubs.
2. Perform general carpentry, paint building interior, maintain exterior of building, sidewalks and snow removal. 3. Help complete daily inspections of the facility.
Help monitor the electrical system, caring for lighting ballasts, maintain inventory of bulbs and the maintenance, testing and operation of the emergency lighting network.
4. Test and monitor major building systems when needed to ensure they will pass safety and health inspections. 5. Assist program staff with project assembly, the repair of furniture, and the moving or unloading of heavier objects or deliveries.
6. Responsible for room set-up of meetings, classes, and space rentals. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and paper products.
7. Responsible for in housekeeping duties as needed. 8. Any other duties as needed Reporting Relationship : Maintenance Technician, Executive Director regarding any matters that require additional assistance.
