Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Needs One to One Aide to support our daycare team in a busy licensed childcare learning environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special needs in a day care setting, particularly with preschool-aged children. This role is essential in fostering a nurturing atmosphere that promotes early childhood education, development, and individualized learning plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities for designated preschool student.
• Support the development of special needs student by engaging Common Core curriculum tailored to the needs of young learner with IEP.
• Provide care and supervision for student during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Communicate effectively with student, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative educational environment.
• Help manage classroom behavior and assist with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed.
• Facilitate instruction to enhance student understanding and engagement. Qualifications
• Experience working with children in early childhood education setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and special needs.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and CPSE team.
• Familiarity with curriculum development for early childhood education is beneficial.
• Ability to provide compassionate care preschool-aged children.
• Understanding of IEPs and the ability to support diverse learning needs is desirable.
• A passion for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages growth and development.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $16.25 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
