Job Summary
Performs routine public contact and receipts payments from customers.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for cash register operations to include accurately collecting and depositing money and selling concessions. Makes change and issues receipts or tickets to customers.
- Greets the public and answers questions; responds to inquiries from employees, customers and others and refers, when necessary, to appropriate staff.
- Completes any necessary paperwork such as daily deposit reports and daily inventory sheets.
- Maintains daily cash fund in drawer. Notifies manager if short on change or bills.
- Provides good customer service by being friendly, tactful, and courteous and by maintaining an alert and professional posture at all times. Maintains an acceptable appearance at all times as to both dress and personal hygiene.
- Cooperatively works with other staff to ensure a professional and enjoyable work environment.
- Performs opening and closing duties as outlined by the Food Services Director.
- Arrive to work on time and when scheduled
- Attend and participate in scheduled in-service trainings.
- Performs related duties as requested or required.
- Proficiency in the use and operation of equipment including but not limited to the following: Telephone, cash register, calculator, food vending machinery, and general office equipment.
- Enrolled in high school (if age appropriate) or general education degree (GED) program, or with a high school or GED diploma
- Must be 15 years or older
- Pass a criminal history background check and FBI fingerprint check
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with staff and public
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
- Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
- Attend scheduled in-service training
- Daily transportation to and from work sites.
