What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sexual Assault Counselor position at YWCA of the Sauk Valley?
Serving Whiteside and Lee counties in Illinois, the Sexual Assault Counselor provides counseling and advocacy for individuals who have experienced sexual violence. The position also includes crisis intervention, information, and support for sexual assault survivors during medical treatment. This position requires, at minimum, a Bachelor's degree in crisis counseling, counseling, therapy, social work, or psychology, plus experience working with children; a Master's degree is preferred. The Sexual Assault Counselor will maintain, at all times, a commitment to confidentiality and quality client service on behalf of the YWCA Sauk Valley.
