The YWCA of Western MA is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering survivors. The YW provides a safe place for survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and homelessness. Our programs and services include crisis shelter and transitional housing for survivors and their families, 24-hour bilingual hotline, counseling, SAFEPLAN court and medical advocacy, HIV education and intervention, and supervised visitation. The YWCA provides services at several sites, including Holyoke, Northampton, Westfield, and our primary Springfield campus.
The YWCA is seeking a Data and Compliance Manager. This role will work with the director of grants, COO and CEO to oversee the YWCA's data management team. Will oversee all aspects of the data management system, Awards. Responsibilities involved with overseeing Awards include managing and building: users, permission settings, forms, workflows, bulletins, and reports. It also includes on-boarding new programs and ensuring current programs are built into the system effectively, using the software to its fullest capacity. In addition to overseeing Awards, the Data and Compliance Manager will work with program directors to compile and submit reporting required by funders on annual, semi-annual or a quarterly basis. On a larger scale, the Data Manager will work in tandem with agency leadership to tell the story of the YWCA through the collection of reliable data. The story that the data tells is integral to the agency's ability to receive funding.
Reports To: Vice President of Grants and Compliance
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm; with additional hours as needed to meet program needs
FLSA Status: Exempt
Starting Rate: $60,000 - $70,000 annually
Primary Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide oversight in the management and tracking of the YWCA's data management system, Awards for Victim Services (AVS).
- Manage a team of data analyst
- Conduct and oversee data entry, data management and quality assurance protocols.
- Develop, maintain and implement data management policies and procedures for effective data management as needed.
- Provide ongoing training and technical support for YWCA staff in all areas required to ensure staff are on a continuum of moving toward proficiency in the use of AVS. This will include designing and facilitating data management training sessions for all staff, including a training for new staff.
- Oversee/coordinate internal audits
- Create and complete quarterly and annual reports through Awards, and ensure all grant deliverables are met
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Sociology, Public Health, Public Policy, Psychology or related disciplines or a minimum of 3 years' experience in data management or analysis.
- Demonstrated proficiency in professional office software, including Microsoft applications Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, work independently as well as engage in collaborative research in a team setting.
- High levels of accuracy and organization, and the necessity to meet deadlines working in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to analyze, manage and organize large amounts of data.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and recognize situations in which confidentiality is required.
- Ability to facilitate data presentations, i.e. in person or via a virtual platform.
- CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within the Introductory Period.
- Must be able to be covered by the agency's insurance policy.
