YWCA Oklahoma City offers victims of domestic violence (DV), sexual assault (SA), and stalking immediate crisis response services through our C.A.R.E. and H.O.P.E programs. The C.A.R.E. programs includes the following services: Crisis hotlines, Advocacy, emergency Residential shelter, and forensic nurse Exams. The H.O.P.E. programs includes Healing, Opportunities, Prevention, and Education. YWCA OKC services are provided at our primary location, through staff embedded at the Palomar Family Justice Center and local hospitals throughout the metro Oklahoma City area.
YWCA OKC is actively seeking a Director of Human Resources who will be responsible for leading all HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, fostering a positive workplace culture, and overseeing employee lifecycle management. This role ensures that HR processes align with the mission, policies, and operational goals of YWCA OKC.
Key Responsibilities:
-Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee all aspects of HR, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, retention, performance management, and offboarding to ensure a strong workforce that aligns with the agency’s mission.
-HR Compliance & Employment Law: Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws, YWCA policies, and funding regulations, including the Standards & Criteria for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Programs.
-HRIS Administration & Payroll: Serve as the administrator for the HRIS system and process biweekly payroll to ensure timely and accurate payment of employees.
-Benefits & Compensation Management: Administer and manage employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and YWCA Retirement Fund participation, while maintaining a structured wage and salary system.
-Employee Relations & Workplace Culture: Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes while fostering a positive, inclusive, and mission-driven work environment.
-Training & Development: Provide supervisor support, HR-related skills training, and professional development opportunities to strengthen leadership and staff capacity.
-Background Checks & Compliance Documentation: Supervise annual background checks for employees, volunteers, and interns, ensuring adherence to licensing and grant requirements. Maintain personnel records and required documentation for compliance.
-HR Reporting & Data Analysis: Provide HR-related data, reports, and analysis to leadership and the Board’s Human Resources Committee to support data-driven decision-making.
-Strategic Leadership & Collaboration: Actively participate in leadership meetings, contribute to strategic decision-making, and serve as the HR liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred (4 years of HR experience may be considered in lieu of degree). Minimum of two years of HR-related work experience required. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Paycom, Paylocity) and payroll processing. Knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and nonprofit HR management.
