What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Engagement Project Coordinator position at YWCA ROCHESTER?
This position is responsible for engaging community stakeholders to increase Engine awareness and regional opportunities. This position reports to the Regional Engagement Director and will work in close conjunction with the Engine’s advisory committee and core functions to ensure consistent messaging and community connection throughout the respective region. This position is directly responsible for managing and coordinating, in conjunction with the Director, small and large-scale community events, grass roots efforts and partnership tracking. This position is expected to provide a level of project management, guidance, and consultation for the department in community relationships, partnerships, and organization.
Responsibilities
- Creatively use and develop community resources to broker and/or link members to appropriate services.
- Create engagement strategies to solicit feedback and keep community informed about the Engine.
- Serves a primary contact to coordinate and organize small and large-scale events, sponsorships and community panel discussions.
- Maintain documentation standards as set forth by the Director to successfully document the progress of Regional Engagement efforts.
- Monitor regional engagement outcomes and inform the Director of any needs or changes that may be necessary.
- Assist with educating, networking, and representing the Engine to regional stakeholders.
- Assist with presentations to groups of diverse stakeholders and tailor presentations to diverse audiences to ensure presentation content is appropriate and reaches the audience.
Requirements
- Knowledge of regional engagement in Upstate/Central NY.
- Regional travel required
- Ability to facilitate meetings with key regional stakeholders.
Education and Work Experience:
- Work requires a professional level of knowledge in community engagement/outreach as required through the completion of Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 2 years of experience in community outreach and/or organizing events

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Usual human services office working conditions prevail. Must be willing to travel to conferences and community events. Must be available to work 37.5 hours per week and the work hours may include evenings or weekends.
