WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
YW3CA’s Director of Mission Engagement manages the Human Resource and related responsibilities of employee recruitment, onboarding/orientation, development, retention, and separation with a core focus on employee engagement with the organization’s mission. Administration of human resource programs include compensation, leave requests, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, and occupational health and safety. In addition, the Director of Mission Engagement administers the employee benefits and acts as the primary contact for the organization’s multiple benefits brokers including YWCA Retirement Fund Inc.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Mission Engagement will support the equitable implementation of policies and procedures that support the organization’s departments to be in compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations. To lead this function, the Director of Mission Engagement will oversee the Mission Engagement Senior Manager and must be an exceptional leader, relationship builder, and communicator.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (Includes, But Not Limited to):
· Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
· Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys.
Administer the organization’s human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations;

· Utilizing APS Online, APS Hire, APS Onboarding, APS HR Solution, APS eSelfServe, and Employee Navigator to manage day-to-day operations.
· Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date.
· Maintain employee records, while ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity.
· Support the expansion of positive employee relations efforts, including the oversight of the organization’s Employee Appreciation Program.
· Supervise the execution of the organization’s Internship Program including intern recruitment, appointment, and retention in coordination with direct service department leaders.
· Continuously pulse employees and organization culture, through individual conversations, focus groups, and other methods of data collection.
o Understands and communicates pain points with senior leadership.
· Collaborate with employees and supervisors to solve simple and moderately complex interpersonal and work-related issues.
· Assess and coach supervisors around mission focused leadership.
· Work with all leaders to make the organization a better place to work for all employees.
· Deliver training in response to workforce and departmental needs.
· Direct strategic recruitment efforts including attendance at off-site job and volunteer fairs.
· Manage employee database documenting trends, outcomes, and departmental data.
· Develop and implement Mission Engagement departmental budget.
· Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
· Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position expectations.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE POSITION
- Ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and exercise independent/sound judgment.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently.
- Proven ability to work cooperatively with clients, staff, and volunteers of all ages, ethnic backgrounds, and socioeconomic levels.
- Excellent communication skills in English – both oral and written. Ability to utilize communication skills in both internal and external environments.
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail, accuracy of data entry & organizational skills is important.
- Knowledge of and sensitive to the issues facing the community served.
- Demonstrates resourcefulness and flexibility to meet the demands of the position and needs of the organization.
- Understanding of YWCA mission, goals, and objectives with a passion and dedication to connect YW3CA’s employees to these concepts.
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
