The YWCA West Central Michigan is seeking a_ Case Manager_ to join our Safe Connections team. The pay range is $17.00 – $19.58 per hour, dependent on experience. This position is full-time, nonexempt and will report to the Senior Director of Nonresidential Services.

About the Position

This position provides case management services to YWCA Safe Connections program participants, with the goal of facilitating parent-child contact in a safe and supportive environment. Case management duties include intake, assessments, reporting, ongoing advocacy and service coordination. Individuals must possess strong customer service skills, adhere to an ethical code of conduct, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to set and maintain boundaries, capability of de-escalating agitated individuals, maintain organization and documentation. The Case Manager is also responsible for co-leading the Safe Connections team, including but not limited to recruiting, training, scheduling, and leading staff as well as management of program resources.

Who We Are Looking For

· Bachelor’s degree in social work (or related field) and 2 years of experience working with families is required. Additional experience in human or social services, particularly regarding knowledge of domestic violence and child abuse, is preferred.

· Valid MI Driver’s license

· Access to reliable transportation

· First Aid/CPR certificates (or obtain certification within 30 days of hire)

· Experience working with diverse populations

· Experience with Microsoft Office computer applications required

· Bilingual is a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Work environment includes typical office setting and live supervision in designated visitation rooms. Visitations are potentially unpredictable based upon the degree of stress experienced by participants.

· Irregular work hours may exist, including early morning, evening, weekends, and holidays.

· Conditions are subject to occasional exposure to agitated or threatening individuals.
