Job Description:
General Description
The Vice President of Programs & Services is responsible for clinical services at the YWCA, including Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Substance Use, Dual Treatment, and Children’s Therapeutic Services and provides direct supervision to Substance Use staff ensuring that quality services are provided in all programs and that agency goals and objectives are met.
Reporting Relationship
The Vice President of Programs & Services reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
Supervises
Supervises the Director of Domestic Violence Services, the Director of Children’s Services and the Substance Use Team, as well as Master’s level interns.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Hires, trains, and supervises staff in designated program areas ensuring regular performance reviews.
- Participates in planning and goal setting with staff in designated program areas.
- Monitors services to ensure that goals are met and provides oversight of client records for accurate reporting to funding agencies and accrediting bodies.
- As needed, helps provide technical support through case supervision, assists staff in enhancing clinical skills and procedures.
- Oversees planning and coordinating with staff interface with the community for the purpose of education and working with agencies that make client referrals for services.
- Stays abreast of current trends in related fields with a special emphasis on substance use treatment, domestic violence, sexual assault, and children’s therapeutic services.
- Ensures agency is actively involved with the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault & Human Trafficking, and ASPIN.
- Ensures substance use treatment program meets CARF, DMHA and ASPIN standards and helps prepare agency for CARF Review, as well as DMHA & ASPIN audits.
- Ensures domestic violence program meets Peer Review standards and helps prepare agency for Peer Review.
- Provides educational programs to the community on domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, effects of trauma on children, substance use disorders and other related topics.
- Maintains 24/7 cell phone accessibility to stay in contact with the organization.
