Requirements

 

Responsibilities:

  • Construct, assemble, and install formwork for concrete structures, including walls, columns, slabs, and foundations.
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and other materials to build forms according to project specifications and blueprints.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair existing formwork, ensuring structural integrity and readiness for use.
  • Collaborate with concrete crews to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively for carpentry tasks.
  • Ensure all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures (OSHA and company policies) to maintain a secure job site.
  • Assist with other construction tasks as needed, demonstrating a team-oriented approach.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter in the construction industry, preferably with a focus on concrete formwork.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions.
  • Knowledge of carpentry materials, tools, and techniques, particularly for commercial concrete projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and assembly.
  • Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the role, including lifting heavy materials and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on commercial concrete projects is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with building forms and stairs.
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification is preferred.

  • Work environment:  May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites. Regular exposure to all weather conditions; must work outside in varying weather/driving conditions combined with regular work time indoors.

Salary : $28 - $36
