Piano and Vocal Instructor

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Piano and Vocal Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano performance, vocal and pedagogy, with a commitment to fostering a love for music in students of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Individual and Group Lessons: Provide high-quality piano instruction to students through both individual and group lessons.
• Customized Curriculum: Develop and implement personalized lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs, goals, and learning styles.
• Technique and Theory: Teach fundamental piano techniques, music theory, sight-reading, and ear training.
• Repertoire Selection: Guide students in selecting appropriate repertoire that enhances their skills and interests, ranging from classical to contemporary music.
• Performance Preparation: Prepare students for recitals, ensuring they are confident and well-prepared.
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and document student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting achievable goals.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: High-school Diploma or Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music, with a specialization in Piano Performance or Music Education.
• Teaching Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience teaching piano to students of various ages and skill levels.
• Performance Experience: Proven experience as a performer in solo and ensemble settings.
• Pedagogical Skills: Familiarity with various teaching methodologies and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with students and parents.

• Creative Approach: Innovative and creative teaching methods to keep students motivated and engaged.
• Patience and Encouragement: A patient and encouraging demeanor to support students’ growth and confidence.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
