Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join a federal program located in Washington, DC. The Business Systems Analyst will analyze business processes, financial data, systems, and technologies within an organization.
Responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst:
- Collaborates with stakeholders from various departments to gather and document business and financial requirements. Conducts interviews, workshops, and analysis of existing financial and operational systems to define functional and non-functional requirements.
- Performs detailed analysis of existing systems, financial processes, and workflows to identify areas for improvement or automation. Assesses system capabilities, financial data flows, integration points, and user interfaces to ensure alignment with business and compliance objectives.
- Conducts financial data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that enhance decision-making, cost efficiency, and resource allocation. Supports financial risk assessments and recommends mitigation strategies.
- Participates in system testing activities to validate that the implemented solution meets the defined business, financial, and compliance requirements. Develops test plans, test cases, and performs testing to identify defects or issues.
Qualifications of the Business Systems Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of four to seven (4-7) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with financial management, audit readiness, or DoD financial reporting is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) and robotic process automation (RPA) tools preferred
- Familiarity with DoD financial management, budget execution, and audit compliance tracking is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and business requirements into technical solutions
- Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an U.S. Government Active Secret Clearance
Compensation for the Business Systems Analyst:
- Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000 *flexible based on experience*
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO, and Sick Leave as required by law
