Piper Companies is seeking a Head of Data Science and Emerging Technology to join a financial services company. This is a hybrid role (Tuesday through Thursday on-site in Wayne, PA).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the integration of emerging technologies and advanced analytics and drive the adoption of new technologies to maintain a competitive edge in industry.
- Develop and implement strategies using AI, ML, and blockchain to enhance business efficiency and innovation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify AI/ML opportunities and solutions.
- Leverage AI capabilities in third-party technologies for business value.
- Manage a small team and work with the IT department to deploy machine learning solutions.
- Maintain a catalog of AI solution patterns for consistent innovation.
- Provide updates to senior leadership and the board on technology initiatives.
- Represent company at industry conferences and build relationships with partners and clients.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Machine Learning and Data Science
- Financial services experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques and statistical concepts.
- Strong communication skills for presenting complex findings to various audiences.
- In-depth understanding of the role of data in strategic decision-making.
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or related field; Master's or Ph.D. a plus.
Compensation:
- Annual salary: $175,000 - $225,000 *depending on experience*
