Piper Companies is seeking a Quality Engineer (QA) to join an award-winning, technology-driven insurance company located in Durham, NC through a hybrid work schedule . The Quality Engineer (QA) will work under the Senior Quality Engineer, to ensure the highest quality of their digital platform through meticulous manual QA testing.

Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer (QA) include:
- Dive deep into web applications to identify and squash bugs and usability problems.
- Craft and execute test cases and scripts to guarantee top-notch functionality, performance, and security.
- Use tools like Postman to perform API testing, ensuring seamless integration across software components.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and share testing insights.
- Identify and fulfill all test data needs efficiently.
- Document defects, track them to resolution, and verify fixes swiftly.
- Actively participate in Agile development, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Qualifications for the Quality Engineer (QA) include:
- 2-4 years in manual quality assurance, with a basic understanding of QA automation scripting.
- Expertise in creating and executing test plans and designs, with the ability to perform automated tests while primarily focusing on manual testing.
- Strong experience in web and API testing.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Must work onsite 3 days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Compensation for the Quality Engineer (QA) include:
- $60,000 - 80,000
- Comprehensive benefit package: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Holiday, PTO, and Sick Leave if required by law.
