Lead DevOps Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to support a Federal agency on a brand new, mission critical contract award that will defend the safety and security of our great Nation . This is an on-site position based out of Annapolis Junction, MD.  This engineer will enhance efficiency by implementing cutting edge pipelines and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities :

• Provide leadership and management skills to team of 10 individuals
• Solid technical foundation with a strong grasp of core IT principles.
• Demonstrable experience and skills in Cloud DevOps, including platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP,
• Expertise with modern DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation.
• Practical experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS, AKS, or GKE.
• Experience in implementing CI / CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Demonstrated track record of success leading IT services in large enterprise setting as well as critical skills in developing partnerships, modeling behaviors, and developing team capabilities
• Hands-on experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, GitHub, GitLab, Chef, Ansible, Art factory, Remedy, SonarQube, Fortify, Selenium

Qualifications :

• 8 years of experience in DevOps environment
• ITIL Certification preferred but not required
• Active Secret Clearance
• Ability to lead and manage

Compensation :

• 150,000 - $180,000
• depending on experience
