QA Tester

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a QA Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. The QA Tester will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at identifying and resolving defects, as well as improving overall product performance. This position is Hybrid 3 days a week on site in Merrifield, VA.

Key Responsibilities :

• Review Requirements : Thoroughly review project requirements and specifications to ensure a clear understanding of the product and its functionality. Proactively ask questions to clarify any ambiguities.
• Create Test Scenarios / Test scripts : Develop comprehensive test scenarios and test scripts based on requirements to cover all possible use cases and edge cases.
• Execute Test Scenarios / Test scripts : Perform manual testing according to the designed test scenarios and test scripts to ensure the product meets the desired quality standards.
• Review Debug Logs : Analyze debug logs to identify the root cause of defects and assist in troubleshooting issues.
• Document and Track Defects : Create detailed documentation for identified defects, including steps to reproduce, severity, and impact. Follow up with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Verify Defect Fixes : Re-test resolved defects to ensure fixes are effective and do not introduce new issues.
• Review Design Documents : Provide feedback on design documents to ensure they meet quality and functionality standards.
• Troubleshoot Production Defects : Investigate and resolve defects found in production to minimize impact on end-users.
• Handle Multiple Tasks : Efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
