Position Summary
Industrial Scaffold Builder will assist with the construction, dismantling, and repair of wooden and metal scaffolds and auxiliary structures related to scaffold.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Position Responsibilities
Identify all tools required for tasks.Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.Measure, mark, and cut required wooden / metallic materials to required specifications.Assist with the construction, re-enforcement, and dismantling of pre-constructed Scaffolds.Assist with the building and construction of wooden Scaffolds and auxiliary items.Work on miscellaneous construction projects such as but not limited to building decks and steps, building bulletin boards, and building any additional wooden structures.Clean up work areas.Preferred Additional Qualifications
Current Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee.Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc.National Center for Construction Education and Research's (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter.Formal / Technical education.Experience working with scaffolding, insulation, and painting.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Physical Requirements
Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.Will talk and hear to communicate.Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull : objects, materials, controls and tools.May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, work off of platforms and man lifts, and may occasionally work out on an open structure using the appropriate fall protection requirements.Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to : hard hat, safety glasses / goggles, ear plugs / muffs, masks / respirators, FRC, gloves and leather work boots.Required Qualifications

Apply, remove, and repair insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, hot and cold pipes, storage tanks and vessels, to help control noise and maintain temperatures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Reads and interprets blue prints, instructions, and other documentation or plan work activities.Determines the amounts and selects required insulation material (in sheet, tubular, or roll form), such as fiberglass, foam rubber, Styrofoam, cork, or urethane, based on materials ability to retain heat, location, surface, shape, and equipment use.Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site.Cover, seal, or finish insulated surfaces or access holes with plastic covers, canvas strips, sealants, tape, cement or asphalt mastic.Fit insulation around obstructions, and shape insulating materials and protective coverings as required.Install sheet metal around insulated pipes with screws in order to protect the insulation from weather conditions or physical damageMeasure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using tape measures, handsaws, knives, and scissors.Prepare surfaces for insulation application by brushing or spreading on adhesives, cement, or asphalt, or by attaching metal pins to surfaces.Covers or seals insulation with preformed plastic covers, canvas strips, sealant, or tape to secure insulation to structure, according to type of insulation used and structure covered, using staple gun, trowel, paintbrush, or caulking gun.Follows all hazardous waste handling guidelines.May remove or seal off old asbestos insulation, following safety procedures.Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
