POSITION SUMMARY:
Directs the Company's construction activities as the senior on-site Company representative. Maintains client and home office relationships and ensures compliance with contractual and corporate procedural obligations for the construction of a large project or several small projects. Responsible for site safety and security programs, site quality control programs, implementation and adherence to AWP program, interface management, coordination of resources and staffing, construction progress, schedule adherence, and cost control to maintain profitability for the project.

Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems. Position will be based from an on-site office on construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on construction sites. On construction sites noise levels will be moderate to high. Job site will contain - light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking, bells whistles and alarms. Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leader of the Construction Management Team
- Serve as lead project owner construction representative to oversee construction field activities.
- Manages field construction, site maintenance, site infrastructure, site engineering, site procurement, material management and other site support activities. Responsible for the development of the construction schedule and monitors production to assure on-time and on-budget construction completion.
- Reviews cost and schedule reports and makes analysis to influence decision making towards reducing costs and maintaining productivity and schedule commitments
- Establishes a culture that promotes safety of the workforce and quality of construction deliverables. Drives commitment of the Construction Team to meet these objectives. Conducts regular project inspections and advises project supervision of work progress, quality of work and conditions requiring attention regarding safety.
- Ensures all applicable corporate policies and procedures are adhered to at the project site.
- Coordinates work with subcontractors to ensure all subcontract work is within project scope and specifications. Administers project policies and procedures to subcontractors.
- Primary interface to client/owner for all site activities. Provides timely reports to the client/owner for project status. Coordinates with engineers, client/owner, inspectors, etc. to isolate project design and/or specification problems and assists in developing solutions to these problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High School Diploma
- Min of 10 years of EPC/EPCM industrial construction experience as Project Manager or Construction Manager
- Strong analytic skills
- Strong Interpersonal communication skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of of a project or project Owner’s team.
- Ability to reason & problem solve construction challenges in tandem with Zachry partners and General Contractors
- Must demonstrate solid knowledge and understanding of various subcontract Agreement scenarios including lump sum, reimbursable and unit rate with experience in change/claim management.
- Strong presentation skills
- Must understand the importance of schedule attainment, cost control, and change management
- Experience managing and leading work teams in a field construction environment Microsoft experience (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Plan and perform complex work where only limited or general policies or procedures are available
- Full and ongoing compliance with and adherence to all vaccination requirements, as may be established by the company from time to time or by or for a particular job site Must be open to US remote job sites
- Current or Former Zachry
- Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent for a two- or four-year college/technical school
