JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for maintaining and setting up food production and quality control of the Team Member Cafeteria.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares all food items according to standard recipes for the Team Member Cafeteria.
- Ensures compliance with all hotel policies and procedures that relate to food and beverage, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Checks and controls the proper storage of product, monitoring age and condition of all food items to rotate and maintain highest quality. Keeps all refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter free, complying with Health Department regulations.
- Prepares daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production.
- Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes.
- Other duties as assigned by Sous Chef’s or Executive Chef.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team
