Job Purpose:
To secure guest vehicle keys and insure proper in/out logs of guest vehicles are completed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greets guests immediately with warm hospitable welcome using a clear and courteous speaking voice.
- Responds immediately to customer inquiries regarding hotel features, services, and assistance. Provides clear and understandable direction to hotel facilities, restaurants, and lounges and nearby attractions.
- Answers telephone in a friendly and professional manner.
- Clearly communicate guest parking procedures and applicable cost to arriving guest.
- Dispatches drivers to deliver requested guest vehicles
- Performs inventory on valet cars and adjust key boards to reflect current vehicles in garage.
- Provides car counts on valet, self parking guests and employee car counts to doorperson.
- Assist in parking guest vehicles.
- Cleans and polishes carts and other equipment used in the department, if applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Skills:
- Ability to listen, and communicate effectively.
- Read, write, and speak English fluently. Ability to communicate in Spanish helpful.
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
- Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations.
- Ability to push/pull cart/ table weighing up to 150 lbs.; grasp, lift to waist and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, walking, and standing for an extended period of time.
- Ability to stand, walk, and continuously perform essential job functions for an extended period of time.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and solve customer concerns.
- Ability to drive all types of vehicles with either standard or automatic transmission.
- Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
- Ability to follow written/verbal instructions in order to meet deadlines.
Qualifications Standards
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
No prior experience required.
License/Certificates:
Valid Texas Drivers License.
