What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Vice President Operations position at ZAH Group?
The Executive Vice President, Operations is responsible for leading manufacturing, distribution and supply chain operations. This position is also responsible for maintaining and improving profitability, service levels, quality, capital management, and safety.
Responsible for the success and alignment of all supply chain and logistics, including procurement, sourcing, inventory management, and distribution with the rest of the organization.
Formulate and execute strategic plans for continuous improvement in cost reduction and material planning and control while ensuring the long-term viability and sustainability of the supply chain network.
Develop sourcing strategies and processes to enable extended coverage for evolving new product demands.
Lead SIOP to optimize inventory planning, ensure supplier diversification and align with business goals.
Lead cross-departmental collaboration in product planning to ensure seamless product flow and timely delivery, leveraging strong leadership skills to gain buy in.
Must possess strong negotiations skills to create and manage healthy supplier relationships and ensure the company attains the best possible value for finished goods, components, and materials.
Navigate and resolve complex logistics challenges, making data-driven decisions to achieve business objectives.
Strategically manage and forecast demand across a diverse range of SKUs, catering to a highly varied customer base with rapidly changing needs.
Build and maintain a world-class supply chain operations team aligned with the current and future needs of the company, integrating industry best practices while ensuring tribal knowledge is maintained.
Create succession plans for top talent to ensure the long-term success of the organization. Provide coaching and mentorship to develop strong future leaders for the business.
Execute additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or related field with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience is required. A minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Master's degree is strongly preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to drive enterprise change management. Ability to manage and influence cross functional teams and resolve conflicts. Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability. Ability to execute department objectives.
