What you’ll be doing:
Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables
Serve food and beverages to guests making recommendations if needed
Share your food and wine knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
Record transactions in the TOAST system correctly and timely
Handle cash and make accurate change
Check-in with guests to assure satisfaction with each course and beverage
Clean tables, complete opening and closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies
What we’re looking for:
Great conversational skills, conscientious and teamwork-oriented
Positive outlook and outgoing personality
Previous serving experience in an upscale full-service restaurant environment
This role requires:
A positive, energetic, outgoing, and service oriented demeanor.
We ask that you have 1-year minimum experience in fine dining
The ability to carry and balance a tray, lift , and move 25 lbs.
Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time.
Maintaining a professional appearance at all times in a clean uniform is required.
T.I.P.S / Serve Safe Alcohol certification preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Follows all company policies and procedures and safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Responsible for bus station cleanliness and stocking of service areas throughout the shift.
- Performs opening and closing responsibilities in a timely and detailed manner.
- Assists guests by clearing away dishes, glassware, and refilling beverages.
- Empties trash and spot sweeps whenever floor needs it or upon manager’s request.
- Cleans highchairs and boosters before and after use.
- Drives table turn timing by scouting open tables, bussing, and cleaning tables, as necessary.
- Informs front / host staff of table status to ensure faster turn times and efficiency.
- Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictate.
- Employees must always be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
- Greet all guests as they walk through the restaurant.
Skills/Requirements
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure.
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
- Must have flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and “Some” Holidays.
- Follow all company policies and procedures including proper timekeeping and emergency and safety procedures.
