What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Lathe Operator Second Shift position at Zaniboni Lighting?
We are looking to hire an experienced CNC Operator to run jobs for our second shift 2:30pm to 11:30pm on a station with two CNC Okuma Lathes. One is a 4-Axis and the other is a 5-6 Axis with sub-spindle. You will be working with aluminum, plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts.
Job Duties include, but not limited to:
Ability to select, lift, carry, and stack product weighing between 30 and 50 pounds. The ability to stand up to a total of 8 hours, with breaks while occasionallybending, stooping, and twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.
There is an anti-fatigue mat at the machines, as well as a stool to sti when needed.

We are a Florida Drug Free Workplace. The company requires all employees to complete a pre-employment 10 panel drug screen; employment status will be dependent on ability to pass this screening and partake on a quarterly random screen.
Hours, compensation and benefits:
Second Shift: Monday through Friday 2:30pm to 11:30PM with two paid 15-minute breaks and a full un-paid lunch hour.
Compensation for this position begins at $27.00 per hour, but it is negotiable based on experience and skillset.
After 30-day waiting period employees become eligible for Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, paid holidays and paid time off that increase with longevity.

Job Duties include, but not limited to:
- Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
- Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances
- Must be able to work off of blueprints
- Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts
- Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
- You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving
- Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records
- Observe all safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner
- A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes, Okuma is preferred
- Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions
- General knowledge of G-code and M-code
- Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading
- Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts
