This role will assist the Powder Coater to prepare the parts for spraying, help operate the powder coating booth and oven to finish aluminum parts and train as a back up when needed.
This role requires stamina flexibility in working with a variety of parts, colors and multiple orders simultaneous with varying requirements.

Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00PM with two paid 15-minute breaks and a full un-paid lunch hour, with some flexibility to work overtime when needed based on workload. Hourly rate $18-20 per hour.

- Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained in proper working order
- Maintain the Powder Coating booth and workspace clean and orderly to avoid cross-contamination of colors
- Do complete count and match parts with approproate work order.
- Clean and prepare parts for the powder coater
- Match completed parts with the correct work order and deliver to assembly
- You are required to learn, understand and follow all safety rules and instructions associated with the job such as lockout/tagout, emergency response, proper handling of chemicals, oven, spray equipment and PPE
- Basic reading, writing, arithmetic skills
- Ability to work with strong attention to detail
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing production environment is required
- Ability to read and understand paint specifications on work orders, read and follow manufacturer recommendations / instructions on chemicals and to achieve best quality outcome of finished pieces
Must have ability to:
- Select, lift, carry, and stack product 40 lbs or less regularly; up to 70 lbs occasionally
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
- Work inhot environment (the facility is Air conditioned, but you are working in a booth with a large oven, opening and closing the oven releases heat in the workspace)
- Stand for duration of shift, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, climbing. (8 hours with breaks).
