At ZAP Engineering & Construction Services, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer Lead to join our team. This is a full-time position that involves leading the electrical portion of engineering projects, including conducting tasks and calculations necessary to order and integrate electrical equipment to run the site.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience working with multidiscipline project teams specific to engineering and at least 3 years of leadership experience. A Bachelor's Degree in a Science-related field or equivalent experience is required, along with a Professional Engineering License.
The successful candidate will be responsible for determining the scope, schedule, and workflow, and will function as the main point of contact for all technical or construction questions. They will also develop electrical design packages, complete electrical reports, calculations, and studies, and respond to questions from the field team during construction.

Key Responsibilities
- Determine the scope, schedule, and workflow for electrical engineering projects.
- Develop electrical design packages, including load lists, one lines, circuit schedules, lighting, grounding, cable tray, underground plans, layouts, area classification, 3D model review, and project lead reports.
- Complete electrical reports, calculations, and studies.
- Respond to questions from the field team during construction.
- Review vendor and contractor bids and assist in procurement.
- Ensure quality of engineering deliverables by reviewing them for correctness and constructability.
