Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Scrum Master to join our Agile team. The Scrum Master will guide and support the team in adhering to Scrum principles and practices, ensuring effective communication, continuous improvement, and removing barriers that may impede the team's progress. This role requires someone who is proactive, collaborative, and a strong advocate for Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate Scrum Events:
o Lead and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
o Ensure the team adheres to Scrum ceremonies and time-boxes.
2. Coaching and Mentoring:
o Provide coaching on Agile practices and Scrum principles to team members, stakeholders, and leaders.
o Support the team in self-organizing and continuously improving their workflow.
3. Remove Impediments:
o Actively identify and resolve obstacles that hinder team productivity.
o Work with stakeholders and other teams to remove blockers and ensure smooth project delivery.
4. Support the Product Owner:
o Assist the Product Owner with backlog grooming, prioritization, and ensuring a clear and actionable backlog.
o Help the team understand the scope of work and the value of user stories.
5. Foster Team Collaboration:
o Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and trust within the team.
o Help establish a positive working environment conducive to team success and personal growth.
6. Continuous Improvement:
o Drive process improvements through sprint retrospectives and feedback loops.
o Encourage experimentation and innovation in team processes.
7. Reporting & Metrics:
o Track and report on team progress, such as sprint velocity, burndown charts, and other performance metrics.
o Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the team's performance and delivery.
8. Agile Advocacy:
o Promote the Agile mindset and Scrum framework across the organization.
o Educate teams and leaders on the benefits of Agile practices.
Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
o Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar role.
o Experience with Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
o Experience working in software development or IT project environments.
· Certifications:
o Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or other Scrum certifications preferred.
o Agile certifications like PMI-ACP or SAFe is a plus.
· Skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Excellent problem-solving abilities.
o Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
o Knowledge of Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Rally).
o Experience with scaling Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) is a plus.
