What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Foreman position at Zarnoth Brush Works?
We are a small, family-owned business that has been established since 1949. We work hard to serve Wisconsin, Minnesota, Upper Michigan and Illinois in industrial size brushes. We pride ourselves in great customer service with fast and efficient deliveries.
This position will require you to both supervise employees in our manufacturing/warehouse facility and to take part in manufacturing activities.
KEY RESPONIBILITIES
- Organize day-to-day operations
- Coordinate maintenance of our trucks and trailers
- Supervise warehouse employees
- Monitor inventory and order parts, tools, and equipment as needed to ensure the shop has everything it requires
- Repair and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Work with others in loading and unloading trucks
- Perform other shipping/receiving duties such as prepping items to be shipped
- Follow all DOT and OSHA requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent, additional technical certification is an advantage
- Possess supervisory and communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
- Able to stand/walk for 8 hours with ability to lift heavy objects
- Welding experience is recommended, but not required
- Truck/Trailer maintenance experience recommended, but not required
- Comfortable with using hand tools and power tools
