We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Accounting Manager to oversee and optimize our daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and process improvements. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of our financial reporting and supporting business growth through effective cost management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), general ledger management, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of two to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Maintain strong financial statement control processes to guarantee the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Lead and continuously improve the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
- Develop, document, and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Implement and manage cost accounting processes to support profitability analysis of products and services.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze cost variances and recommend actions to improve operational efficiency and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements, leading initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with cost accounting and profitability analysis.
- Proficient with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with [insert any relevant ERP systems] preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
