The role of the Field Training Manager is to oversee, deliver, and implement training initiatives and programs for the Zax LLC restaurants. The Field Training Manager provides coaching and guidance to the Certified Training GMs, monitors MITs training progress, and evaluates training effectiveness against performance standards. This role is a key advocate for Training and Development by representing the function as a training specialist.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Administers Zax Training Programs
- Identify, select, on-board, and certify new training facilities via the certification process
- Ensure Certified Training Facilities (CTF) provide an optimal learning environment and adhere to training program standards as documented by ZFL
- Establish training goals for CTFs in partnership with DM and RM
- On-board, train, and certify the Certified Training GM and Certified Training Facility
Train, Coach, Support
- Clearly communicate training initiatives and objectives and motivate CTGMs to meet company goals
- Follow up with Certified Training GM on a weekly basis (physically and/ or virtually) to touch base and discuss MIT progress, training needs, and company implementations
- Validate Manager Certifications
- Conduct coaching meetings and address issues and concerns promptly as needed
- Plan, schedule, and conduct local and regional Train-the-Trainer sessions, ongoing development, instructor-led training (classroom and virtual) as needed to achieve expectations
- Support, conduct and/ or coordinate company rollouts and hub trainings for company-owned restaurants
- Liaise with HR/ Talent Development/ Operations departments to forecast and plan for talent development needs and targeted skills training
- Support Certified Training Facilities as prescribed by the DM/ RM
- Support new store openings for company-owned restaurants by training, coaching, and providing feedback to store-level staff and DM
- Support, conduct and/ or coordinate Serve Safe Training
Monitors and Evaluates
- Monitor MIT progress to meet training milestones, timelines, and goals by executing touchpoints with all MITs during each phase of Training, combination of phone calls, emails and face-to-face interactions to gauge performance
- Facilitate 30-, 60-, and 90-day follow-ups on MITs post-training
- Monitor performance outcomes of the CTGM and CTF and ensure key performance indicators are achieved
- Identify training gaps in CTFs and collaborate with RM/ DM/ GM to create corrective action plans
- Follow-up on action plans and coach CTGM to improve performance and ensure CTF standards are met
- Conduct and document CTF visits to evaluate operational effectiveness and MIT requirements, including bi-annual audits
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for training system development and provide observations, evaluations, and feedback on training effectiveness for continuous improvement
- Oversee and monitor ZU completion to ensure learning goals are met according to timeline
- Pull multiple reports to analyze training effectiveness on a weekly, periodic, and quarterly basis and communicate out to Operations and Talent Development leadership on Zax Manager compliance and training facility performance
- Regularly assess the talent pipeline within designated region at the organizational level to identify talent (positional gaps) to bring location back into manager compliance or prepare for growth. Partner with DM to plan and reconcile gaps
- Evaluate training programs and initiatives for continuous improvement
- Proactively recommends updates to training programs and development plans as necessary to close training and performance gaps

QUALIFICATIONS
- Participation in meetings and training sessions at the Support Center, restaurants and off-site locations
- In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations
- Able to identify, troubleshoot, and take corrective actions on the unit levels main sales and profit drivers.
- Strong coaching and evaluation skills
- Servant leadership skills, ability to influence
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with others, build trusting relationships, can work cross-departmentally at the Support Center
- Ability and willingness to travel to market each week

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
- Education: Bachelors degree in hospitality, restaurant management, business administration or comparable field; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: 5 years of restaurant unit or multi-unit management experience, leadership experience, and experience training and developing individuals and teams

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILTY
Up to 50% remote work; report to home office up to 2-3 times per month
