Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for guest services, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Duties
- Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient seating of guests while minimizing wait times.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate guest needs.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Assist in managing guest relations by addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.
- Provide support during busy periods to ensure excellent customer service throughout the dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
