DESCRIPTION
As a Designer in the architecture discipline, you will ultimately leverage knowledge of architecture and design, strategic thinking, collaborative skills, and strong communication acumen to develop construction documents on architecture projects. The responsibilities of this position include :
- Utilize experience and knowledge from coursework in the design of architectural projects.
- Generate construction documents with oversight from senior staff for projects ranging from private residences to K-12 campuses and seismic retrofits of existing buildings to commercial developments.
- Utilize the International Building Code (IBC) and Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC) to perform code reviews and ensure project compliance.
- Assist on projects during construction through review and processing of RFI's, material submittals, and periodic on-site construction observation.
- Collaborate with project partners (in-house disciplines, owners, architects, sub-consultants, etc.).
