About the Role
The Patient Advocate - Operations is responsible for handling the full spectrum of pharmacy operations, including order management, reimbursement, fulfillment, and customer service.
Responsibilities
· Process and verify incoming prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
· Coordinate with pharmacists to clarify prescription details and resolve any discrepancies.
· Handle some aspects of insurance verification and reimbursement processes.
· Oversee the fulfillment process, ensuring timely and accurate dispensing of medications.
· Coordinate with the pharmacy team to prioritize and process orders based on urgency and patient needs.
· Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
· Assist patients with some billing inquiries and payment processing.
· Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of service.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in pharmacy technology preferred.
· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably with a focus on operations and customer service.
· Strong knowledge of pharmacy procedures and insurance processes.
· Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
· Proficient in pharmacy management software and other relevant computer applications.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $21.50 per hour
