Mainframe Security Expert Vulnerability Management
We are seeking a Mainframe Security Expert to join our team and drive the tactical execution of vulnerability management projects. This role requires deep expertise in z/OS security systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute day-to-day project tasks, including detailed analytics of security data.
- Provide guidance on Mainframe Security Systems (ACF2, TSS, RACF) as part of vulnerability management efforts.
- Act as a subject matter expert, leading asset modeling, security hardening, and documentation.
- Train and support client staff on homegrown vulnerability tools and security utilities.
- Define z/OS hardening standards, security controls, and remediation strategies.
- Facilitate communication between mainframe engineering and information security teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience with zSecure Audit for security assessments.
- Strong knowledge of z/OS RACF STIG and hardening techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Mainframe REXX, IBM SYNC SORT, and ICETOOL.
- Preferred: Background in z/OS security consulting or penetration testing.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 15 years in Mainframe Security.
