Role Responsibilities:
- Development of life insurance products on mainframe vantage applications.
- Study design, development and support of mission critical business applications using formal software engineering and project management methodologies.
- Perform System and Requirement Analysis, identifying strategies for application design for life Insurance products development on Mainframe Vantage.
- Performing Design and writing technical design documents, test plans and system interface documents.
- Develop code in (COBOL, VSAM, JCL, DB2, Webservices CICS) technologies and testing based on the requirements which got from the clients upon the product/system enhancement.
- Perform code and design reviews to ensure that the deliverables adhere to the project guidelines and specifications.
- Provide SIT and UAT support and production roll outs.
- Technical design review for new life/Annuity Product development and enhancements and provide inputs.
- Architect design for system enhancements and application design on Vantage and Interfacing Applications.
- Coordinate with an offshore team on daily basis and help understand the business requirements and solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years as a Mainframe Vantage Programmer on life or annuity product development
- 5 years COBOL, VSAM, JCL, TSO/ISPF, SDSF , DB2, CICS Webservices and other Mainframe tools
- Life Insurance product development (universal life, Indexed Universal Life products) on Vantage Mainframe.
Education:
- B.S. degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
