Skills Required:
- Extensive knowledge of routing protocols and platforms such as BGP, OSPF, RIP, MP-BGP, MPLS, L2-VPNs, Multicast (PIM SM/DM/SSM), ASR1K, ISRg2, CRS-1/4/8.
- Experience with designing and implementing data networking products and technologies from a technology vendor or systems integrator.
- CCIE or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in IP Routing with BGP, MP-BGP, OSPF, RIP, MPLS, L2-VPNs.
- Familiarity with IP Routing platforms like ISRg2, ASR1K, CRS-1/4/8, and Juniper.
- Expertise in switching platforms such as Cisco Nexus, Cat3K, 4K, 6K, SUP6e/6le/7e/7le/8e SUP32, SUP720, and Arista (all models).
- In-depth knowledge of switching concepts, including Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP, PVSTP ), 802.1q trunking, CEF, ARP, DHCP snooping, TCAM, Dynamic ARP inspection, IGMPv2/3, and platform-specific configurations (3k, 4k, 6k, SUP720/32, SUP6E/6LE/7E/7LE/8E).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP concepts, including TCP slow-start, duplicate Acknowledgments, retransmits, SACK, subnetting, and supernetting.
- Experience with testing suites like IXIA, Spirent, Shundra, RFC2544, IMIX/EMIX, and test setup.
