Process Engineer Job Summary:
Our Client seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join their recycled PET (rPET) manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, process optimization, and continuous improvement. This role is critical in ensuring efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production of rPET while maintaining safety, sustainability, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Analyze and optimize rPET manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and product quality.
· Develop and implement process control systems to ensure consistency and compliance with industry standards.
· Identify and troubleshoot process inefficiencies, quality issues, and equipment performance problems.
· Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
· Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
· Conduct root cause analysis for process failures and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
· Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and process modifications.
· Evaluate and implement new technologies and best practices in rPET manufacturing.
· Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive process improvements.
· Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
· Train and support operators and technicians in best practices for process control and troubleshooting.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
· 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably in plastics, polymer, or rPET manufacturing.
· Strong knowledge of extrusion, decontamination, and filtration processes in rPET production.
· Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
· Hands-on experience with data analysis tools, process simulation, and statistical process control (SPC).
· Ability to troubleshoot and optimize mechanical, thermal, and chemical processes.
· Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvements.
· Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
· Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations in manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in post-consumer recycled plastics processing.
· Familiarity with ISO 9001, FDA, and food-grade rPET requirements.
· Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other process design software.
